Drilling

Below you can find an overview of our equipment used for drilling.

Drill truck DAF

Nordmeyer DSB 1/3,5 DAF truck

These trucks have shell drilling equipment.

Sonic drill rig

CompactRotoSonic (CRS-F XL)

Our sonic rig, the CompactRotoSonic (CRS-F XL) with CompactRotoSonic head, is excellent for all overburden drilling activities with a typical depth of 75 m/246 ft.

The rig is very fast and efficient in (soft) alluvial soils and due to the simultaneous rotation, with sonic resonance, it is perfect for handling mixed formations. It is designed for drilling and sampling of all overburden and hard formations (boulders and rock layers).

It provides a high quality sample with full recovery of all difficult to sample formations.

Drilling caterpillar (mini)

A drilling caterpillar is used on terrains which are not accessible for large trucks or where there is little room for maneuvering. We own two mini drilling caterpillars.

Drilling caterpillar (midi)

Nordmeyer DSB 0/3

A drilling caterpillar is used on terrains which are not accessible for large trucks or where there is little room for maneuvering.

Drilling caterpillar (large)

Nordmeyer DSB 1/6 boorrups

A drilling caterpillar is used on terrains which are not accessible for large trucks or where there is little room for maneuvering.

Carrier

A carrier is used for the transportation of materials to the drilling location.

Manual drilling

Manual drilling is the simplest drilling method to obtain an image of the upper meters of the soil and does not produce any disturbance. Also, the possible presence of impurities can be properly identified. Due to the limited material required, it can even be carried out in very difficult areas. Depending on the soil type, manual drilling can be carried out to depths of approximately 6 m below ground level.
